We have a senior citizens’ club here at East Tambaram. This club provides various activities and entertainments to the elders to keep away the boredom. This includes visits to places – sight-seeing trips and visits to temples.
Seventyfive members left for a visit to temples on Sunday, 8th February 2015 at 6.0 AM. Three Vishnu temples that we visited are dealt with here.

NEDUNGUNAM SRI YOGA RAMAR TEMPLE
This is one of the biggest temples for Lord Rama and is the biggest Vishnu temple in Tiruvannamalai and Velur districts. This is between Vandavasi and Chetpet in Vellore district. It has got lots of beautiful sculptures and mandapams. Sri Ramar is in a yogic posture without his kothandam. The inner circumambulatory passage is at a lower level. We have to descend using the steps, go round and climb up the steps on the other side. It is said that Sri Ramar stayed here for a day as requested by Sri Sukabrahma rishi. There is a mountain in front of the temple and it looks like a parrot.
